Dear Friends,
On this great day, even though we are in Iraq, we have much to be thankful for.
One great blessing is the wonderful work you do in providing us with goodies and such kind gifts. The wonderful work you and all of your crews are doing does not go unrecognized. Thank you so very much.
We will have a good day here. We will have a Thanksgiving service at the chapel, followed by a more than we can eat meal at the Chow Hall. Then, out on our “football” field (dusty hard ground!) we will have an Army vs. Navy and the winner plays Air Force in Flag Football. We are calling it the Turkey Bowl. Bragging rites are all that is on the line, plus the opportunity to holler and scream at each other will release some stress!
But, we are blessed and have much to be thankful for. Having been here last year when helicopters were coming in each hour on the hour with wounded, now when one comes in it usually is carrying supplies. What a difference we have made!
