Mr Williams,
Thank you so much for the care package.
Please pass on my warmth and thanks to all of those who donated and worked so diligently to put it together. Your work is simply amazing and most appreciated by all who serve. You really are making a difference.
Please pass on a special thank you to the Thompson Group for the cigars. They were a huge hit as many of the Soldiers are able to sit around during an evening sunset and visit, relax and think of their families while unwinding smoking cigars. For many, this is their only “down time” during these busy days.
I asked several of the Soldiers what they would like and some of their requests were much like the goodies sent before, movies, cigars, candy treats and snack foods and believe it or not, yarn for crocheting. I would recommend not sending Gatorade as we are provided it, soda and hot chocolate on a daily basis.
