troop letter: more remote location

March 17, 2010

Bob,
Last year, I was stationed at ISAF HQ in Kabul.

Bob,
Last year, I was stationed at ISAF HQ in Kabul. I worked with Capt Josh Koslov “Mule” who you used as a point of contact for sending us some awesome and much appreciated items. It truly made our deployment much more tolerable.
Well, just seven months after returning Bob,
Last year, I was stationed at ISAF HQ in Kabul.  except this time a much more remote location with nothing much more than your basic needs. Our Job here at Camp Dubs is to train the Afghan Army trainers so that they can take over their own country and we can get the hell home.

I am writing you not only to express my gratitude for your generosity in my previous deployment but to ask if once again we can be supported by you and your organization. Cigars, a humidor, along with the general snacks and coffee are always appreciated. Also, bedding (sheets, pillows, etc..) for twins would be awesome as sleeping bags can get annoying over an entire year.

Lastly, as a off-the-wall request which I am not sure the ability of this becoming a reality is basic bedroom furniture kits. Our rooms have nothing except for a mattress. We are lucky to have buildings and mattresses as opposed to some of our brothers out there but the cheap “u-build” dressers, desks, and nightstands would be an awesome addition.  I understand that this may be to off-the-wall and we are not expecting anything but we appreciate any support.

Thanks again for what you have been and continue to do for us. If it is too much to take on another location under your belt we understand.

My address is

Anthony
