troop letter: Thank you again for your care and support.

our Soldiers do not have access to a PX or much
shopping
Mr. Williams,
Thank you very much for the care package and support.
Our unit is in some of the most rugged and remote land that Afghanistan
has to offer, and our Soldiers do not have access to a PX or much
shopping. Therefore, what we receive in the mail is what we have to
share with one another. The care packages we get in are sorted and
either sent out to the troops at different locations, or placed in a
space where the Soldiers can come and pick out specifically what they
need.
Baby wipes are especially needed, along with razors, shaving cream, and
body wash. Therefore, much of what you have sent has specifically met
needs; and the snacks and goodies are the types of things that get the
Soldiers excited. Tobacco products are especially desired, so the
cigars were a BIG hit. Please know that the time, energy and expense
that you have invested in us does make a difference in the lives of our
Soldiers.
I am attaching a photo that I recently took that shows the kind of area
in which we are serving. It is very scenic, but quite a hike when on
patrol. Please note the shepherds in the lower right corner for
perspective on the grade of the mountain.
Thank you again for your care and support. May God bless you and keep
you.
Sincerely,
CH (CPT) Corey
