It’s been different
Thanks Bob.
It’s been different I’ll give you that!. I’m an aviator by trade so
being on the ground looks a whole lot different than when I was over
Iraq at 20K. Who knew at the time when I said “I never want to be down
there” I’d actually be down here doing what were doing? Weird how
things work out.
As for things, I’d love nothing more than to decorate downtown Kabul for
Halloween, but they only let me fly a desk these days so I guess I’m
S.O.L.
The stuff you guys have provided has been great and we just
sent about 100 of our Sailors home in the last two weeks, all of which
came through this office. Although they just about cleaned us out
(which is a great thing!), everyone was able to get something to munch
on as well as any personal items they needed while they transited
through.
Snacks are always a big hit since, although the food is pretty good over
here, the comfort foods are sometimes tough to come by. Stay the course
with whatever plan you have in place because it’s working out well on
this end.
Thanks for the support.
